Dushanbe
The capital of Tajikistan with a rich history and culture. A city shaped by centuries of development where different cultures and traditions intertwine. Beautiful parks, ancient traditions, and delicious national cuisine.
Darvaz
A geographical and historical region bordering Afghanistan. Breathtaking Pamir mountains, cascading waterfalls, and recreation for every taste. Locals cherish their culture and speak an ancient Persian language.
Khorog City
The administrative center of Gorno-Badakhshan region and the only city in the Pamir. Located at 2,200m altitude. Here the Pamir Highway splits: the northern road leads to Murghab, while the southern one enters the scenic Wakhan Corridor.
Ishkashim
A village in the Panj River valley at 2,500–2,600m altitude. Every Saturday, the famous Afghan market takes place on neutral territory. Nearby is the ancient Kah-Kaha fortress and stunning views of the Wakhan Valley.
Langar
A picturesque village at the confluence of the Pamir and Vakhandaria rivers. Where the Wakhan Corridor ends and the ascent to the high Pamir plateau begins. The last place with a mild mountain climate before the harsh mountain desert.
Bulunkul
The coldest place in Tajikistan, surrounded by mineral springs. The lake is home to salmon and trout. Crystal-clear water contains minerals. 253 species of aquatic plants have been discovered.
Murghab
The highest settlement in Tajikistan at 3,600m altitude. Located at the confluence of the Murghab and Ak-Baital rivers on the Pamir Highway. Extreme climate: from −40°C in winter to +40°C in summer.
Karakul
One of the largest endorheic lakes of the Pamir at the foot of the Zaalay range. The "Black Lake" is famous for its crystal-clear water and Martian landscapes at 3,914m, embraced by snow-capped mountains.
Peak Lenin
The highest point of the Zaalay range at 7,134m. One of the highest peaks in Central Asia. Contrasting climate: from +5°C by day to −30°C at night in summer.
Osh City
One of the largest cities in Kyrgyzstan, the "southern capital." Located in the foothills of the Alay range at 700–1,000m altitude. The historic Sulaiman-Too mountain rises in the city center.
